Park Internships

The George Melendez Wright Climate Change Youth Initiative (CCYI) manages paid internships in which undergraduate or beginning graduate students work for approximately 12 weeks on projects in research, interpretation, park operations, policy development, or other fields.

Research Fellowships

The George Melendez Wright Climate Change Youth Initiative’s (CCYI) fellowships support new and innovative research by graduate students that is relevant to managing climate change impacts in US National Parks.

Because of federal budget cuts (e.g., sequestration) there is no funding for the CCYI Fellowships or Internships for 2014.  If funding becomes available, an announcement will be posted here and will be distributed widely.

The University of Washington is the proud partner and host of the National Park Service’s George Melendez Wright Climate Change Youth Initiative.
